Cait Sith is a catlike creature who rides upon the back of a giant stuffed Mog he brought to life. Cloud and the team first meet him at the Gold Saucer, where he gives Cloud his fortune. He then joins the team. Cloud and the others do not know that Cait Sith is operated by a member of Shinra, who is spying on them. This becomes apparent to the team when he steals the Keystone from them and gives it to Shinra. But through persistance and a little blackmail, Cait Sith continues on with the team, and proves himself. He allows the team to listen in on important Shinra meetings, and gets the team access to other things that only a Shinra member could have access to. Later, when the team goes to disable the Sister Ray at Midgar, Cait Sith leads them to it. It is there where we learn that Cait Sith is Reeve, head of housing and development at Shinra, seemingly the one member of Shinra with a heart. Cait Sith might have had a rocky beginning with the team, but proves himself in the end.
