Hojo is Shinra's top scientist. His evil experiments have created many evil things, like Mako induced monsters and Sephiroth. He is Sephiroth's father, which Sephiroth does not know (he always insults Hojo). He had the baby with Lucrecia, a fellow Shinra scientist, and took it from her. He then injected it with Jenova cells. Hojo decides to help Sephiroth by using Sister Ray to send him Mako energy, which would make him unstoppable. Cloud and the team go to stop him, but Hojo injected himself with Mako, making him a fierce opponent. After he is beaten, the cannon is stopped, and disaster is avoided
